Education As A Component Of Sustainability
Typically, sustainability is viewed in terms of taking actions to mitigate the impact of our economy and industries in terms of reducing negative effects on the environment. Whether it is a 4-year college program or a degree from our trade/technical colleges, education is an often overlooked factor in sustainability. Education allows people to gain skills, knowledge and values to live more sustainably. It promotes economic development and helps alleviate poverty.
How To Reduce Carbon Footprint of Coolants
We rely on petroleum bases for many of our products. That reliance presents a challenge when we study methods to mitigate our carbon footprint. As posted earlier in this blog section, we have invested in carbon offsets which invest in projects involving clean energy and reforestation of areas in developing countries.

AI IS HERE TO STAY
I’ve been hearing quite a lot about AI and ChatGPT New chat (openai.com). I wanted to get a feel for what it can do, so I threw a softball at it, just to see what I would get back. As part of our own sustainability initiative, we are making changes in our offices and plant to reduce/reuse/recycle. I asked ChatGPT what the best practices would be for an office setting, and what I got back was quite useful, and reasonable to put into practice.
